Identity
2. Ororo

A concept shop serving only "taste". The word Ororo is a fictitious word derived from the Japanese word Tororo, meaning grated Japanese mountain yam. The yam has no distinct flavor, thus forcing the eater to rely completely on its texture. The bar was an investigation on how to deliver accurate flavors and textures to its patrons.

The dish in which the shots of flavor are delivered is a mold of an inverted baby bottle nipple. This was intentionally formed to mimic one of the most innate/ergonomic shapes we experience at an unaware phase in our lives, yet that connection and tactile effect remains in us through out our lives.
